Scotland 2009 Freelander 2 TD4_e HSE Manual Lago Grey

I always keep my stop/start switched off for all the reasons in the previous posts, plus the fact that I don't like the engine doing it's own thing !!...........another reason I bought a manual transmission.

but hey it's there if I need it, and when I have used it to try it it seemed to do what it was supposed to.

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Stornoway Grey
31.5

I have 31.5 mpg on my 29k FL2 SE Auto .... seems pretty good to me. Though short cold trips give much worse mpg, I have never had an average below 30pmg!! Smile

I'll wait for a decent well tested hybrid before I decide to trade for another one!

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Sumatra Black

We have had our 2.2l manual for 30 months and have done a shade under 30k. On long motorway trips (keeping to 75mph - about 78mph on the speedo) we typically get 34mpg. However, around town we get 27-28mpg. We are looking to change the car in the Summer and I was hoping the stop/start system was going to be of help on the "around town" stuff Sad Sad

I guess it may be time (after 10 years of LR) to look to more efficient options Big Cry Big Cry
