Does anybody know if the Air Filter is the same for the i6 engine and the Td4. My dealer is charging me USD$100 for it, and I am looking for it in the web. I found one at US$16.95 on roverparts.com but it doesn´t specify for which engine it is. Since that site is in the US I assume it is only for petrol engines, and my Freelander has a diesel engine. 2008 Freelander 2 Td4 HSE Buckingham Blue

Write me your VIN in PM and I'll look a number of your filter in a Microcat. My TD4 2008 Freelander has the filter LR005816. Do you mean it?

I found on famousfour.co.uk that it is indeed the same filter for petrol & diesel engines... so I will save $$$.

Also hate to mention this but the boys at the LR experience said the side vent is where the air enters the engine (Update - should have said 'where air is fed to the air filter') |

Mine is an early car (Dec 2006) and it has the air feed from the side vents. All FL2's should be this way. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come......... |
