Norway 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey
A new kick in the balls for Norwegian Freelander sales

The Norwegian governments new 2010 budget proposal for CO2-emission tax for new cars will increase Freelander prices considerably.

TD4 FL2 with manual box will increase by ca. £1392,- (194 CO2-emission) and £2160,- (224 CO2-emission) for automatic box models.

The cheapest model will cost £54276,- and the dearest £70940,- at today’s exchange rates.

All 4x4 (SUV) models will suffer if the bill goes through, but the equivalent BMW X3 has considerably less CO2-emission and will get off likely with about half the increased tax as LR FL2, as will all the other similar completion except the 177-200 HP VW Tiguan models.

This sounds like another kick-in-the-balls for future Norwegian Freelander sales as I am sure the Freely-e will not catch on here at all.

Wonder what super car you guys in the UK could buy with £71000,- Question 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc.
