Well since my beloved FL2 was stolen in June I haven't been on here as was still in mourning! I have since bought a ML320 CDI Sport and am now even more in mourning as it's like driving a dinasour compared to the FL2!

So, naturally, I now want another FL2 but am quite out of the loop as to what is happening etc...

Is there a new model due?

What do you think to Izmir blue? Is black better? Can you get a FL2 with rear headrest screens?

curious that you are not impressed with the ML320 ??

we looked at them, were very impressed and would have bought one, but put off by the very pushy finance person who was set on selling us a PCP for the car.

but as far as the car went it seemed to tick most of the boxes............is there anything in particular your not happy with Boolia ?

Guess you went Merc instead of Lexus then.... wrong choice

There is talk of a Sport FL2 in the near future, which buy the sounds of it is a FL2 with bodykit and different wheels

The FL2 is due a overhall in or around 2011 so again it looks to be a little while away if your looking at changing in the near future Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

thanks Boolia, certainly my wife preferred the FL2 interior, but I liked the solid construction of the ML320.

but we're very happy with our FL2 for the moment.

I went the other way from an ML320 to my FL. The performance of the FL isn't a patch on the Mercs, and clearly the towing ability of the FL isn't quite as good. That said, I prefer the lower dashboard top of the FL and the higher up nav display (although the COMMAND system is much more reliable and displays the nav arrows in the driver info display in the dash). Interior space is as good and the FL seats are definately more comfortable and the Heated seats are much hotter. More importantly, i think the FL is quieter cruising along the Autobahn, and its good to fly the flag, since there a relitively few of them here in Germany.

PS: Boolia, do you need a towbar for the ML as I have one a genuine Merc one with electrics sat in my cellar? PM if you do and we can come to an arrangment Freelander 2.2e HSE , Privacy, Fully debadged, 19" Chrome SHadow alloys
