G4 FL2 spotted for sale

Hi all

This is my 1st post here - been following it for quite some time as planning an LR purchase next year - great forum. Thumbs Up

Anyway, spotted this at a dealer local to me in the last few days, Stratstone Solihull. G4 FL2 HSE, Reg No BW57 AVJ - up for £24,499. Has leather, not sure if auto or manual, or of mileage ...... and no roof rack Sad .

If someone can give me a clue how to upload a photo, i have one. Been trying for the last half hour Big Cry

Hang on, here we go. Thanks for the assist npinks!

Nice find.
Bet it won't be there next year when you're ready to buy.

Wonder if Mole managed to get a source for the roof racks, would look good with the rack and lights.

Sorry to hear about the paintwork. That's just sloppy. Sad

I've been sitting in the Mc D's next door in the past and watched them in the valeting bay scrubbing the vehicles down with brooms before now. I've been doing some leg-work in recent weeks to find out which is the best dealer to go to when i'm ready next year. I wont say that Stratsone Solihull are crap on here as i'm not sure if i'm allowed to say they are CRAP in such a public manner but i will say that Guy Salmon, Coventry are getting recommended to me from all directions. Thumbs Up

ps - almost forgot to say. I think this one almost certainly had the expedition roof rack on the top as it's still got the access ladder fitted to the rear tailgate. Either that, or its the latest must-have bit of kit - "the ladder to nowhere" .... Rolling with laughter

I have managed to buy one of the two original roofracks that were fitted to BW57 AVJ / AWP. I was guided to e-bay (although listing was not 100% correct). This will be fitted along with the spot-lights asap and then I will post some pictures.
I believe the other roof rack has been sold.
I did look into having a new one made but the company have been very difficult to contact.
If anyone does buy this vehicle then please contact me as I have accumulated a lot of relevant information regarding these vehicles and will be happy to share it. mole

United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Rimini Red

Hi Mole,
has your G4 still got the event tyres on it ? if so what size and make are they? I'm looking to get a seperate set for off road / winter etc and it seems best to stick to what LR suggest.

Its a pity there only seems to be two of these around - LR could have made a killing! There must be lots of people that want one of the G4 vehicles but dont need the bulk of a D4, can't afford a RRS and need something more up to date than the Defender. Must admit if I was nearer replacing mine this would be near the top of the list. There's always a way forward!

2008 Freelander Td4 GS - Stornoway Grey - Now Gone - Sob
2011 Freelander Td4 GS 150 - Rimini Red - in its place - Better x far x 4!!
