iPhone 3GS connectivity

Hi,
I purchased (but still waiting for! damn DVLA!) an '07 GS, and wanted to know if and how I can connect my iPhone 3GS. Will I need to buy an auxillary cable or will it connect via bluetooth?

Also does the aux connection allow the ipod feature to be controlled via the radio/steering wheel?

It will connect via Bluetooth.

The Aux connection, by itself, does not allow the ipod features to be controlled by the radio steering wheel, except the volume. Chris

bluetooth should be fine

Aux lead is just a lead if used via the AUX port, forward and back via the iphone itself

if you have the USB conectivity lead (about £160 iirc) the steering wheels give forward/reverse

I might have a griffin Tuneflex AUX for sale soon, I used it whilst i was waiting for my new car to come and it has a little remote control to strap to the steering wheel etc Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

what features does the bluetooth connectivity allow?

I forgot to mention, it only has the standard radio fitted not the PTI, does this matter?

Standard radios don't have Bluetooth (it would be for the phone side only)

you would have to use an 3.5mm aux lead Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

grumpy grouse, this sounds like a software problem. Are you running the latest versions in both the car and the phone?
