United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Zermatt Silver
MOT Failed!

Just had my Freelander2 in for the MOT.

It failed as the ABS was not working. I verified this when I tested it myself and yep they all locked up. I did have warning lights on for terrain response not working, ABS not working, HDC not working, Traction Control not working but I ignored them as I've had them before and when it's serviced they just reset it and say nothing. It's going in for the 90,000 mile service tomorrow and so I hope it gets fixed properly this time.. They'd better fix that bloody boot though. For the past 12 months I've had to get in and out dozen's of times as it opens itself. Jump out, shut the boot, climb in, belt on and then the dreaded noise of the boot opening again.. They've fitted new locks but the problem is still there. And they're trying to persuade me to buy a new one

If you have a sign saying ABS not working a few tomes the dealer should look further into that instead of a reset as it's a safety issue, light/message could mean you hitting something Shocked

and HDC if that happens too, often related to cold morning starts or faulty haldex sensor

I guess it's time to bang onthe dealers & LRCS table and kick off over the failed MOT Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
