That's good to know. The closest Land Rover dealership to me is in Fort Worth, Texas. I'm 300 miles away. Usually when I get service there I'll drive into Fort Worth and drop the vehicle off. They give me a loan vehicle and I go buy a new gun or some hunting/camping/fishing gear and by the time I'm done the Freelander or Freelander 2 is ready to go. There is a movement to have a dealership built in Midland. No stimulus needed ha ha ha I carry a gun because I can't carry a cop. Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than my gun. 2008 Freelander2/LR2 -Rimini Red 2005 Freelander -Bonatti Gray -EBC front brake rotors -DAP-Inc. just had the same issue, fitted new tyres (Pirelli Scorpions) and noticed a rumbling noise getting louder. Thought it was the new tyres. I have alos just bought a new caravan with twin axles and when towing noticed a bit of a judder when pulling away, thought this was the twin axles. On tuesday when driving to work i pulled out of a junction and the car stopped revved high and then clunked and carried on. I thought this was an auto gearbox problem and took the car straight to the dealers. Diagnosis is a failed dif at 65000 miles, glad Land Rover offer an unlimited mileage warranty as this would not have been covered with my last car a Volvo XC90 which only has a 600,00 mile warranty.

Enterprise delivered the hire car to me today and its a brand new FL2 HSE auto which is just the same as mine, with a few less miles. If they dont get the parts i'll just keep this one. |

Are you sure about that? On my country the warranty is 3 years or 100.000 Km (62.000 Miles) whichever comes first... |
