My Freelander 2 is headed towards reaching the end of its 3 yr manufacturers warranty - what is the general thought on dealership extended warranty or other options - i.e. I know Hunters do something where you pay something to them monthly, which they accumulate until you need some work done, then they discount the cost.

Is this worth doing? My guess is that would be worth approx £500 a year (dont know how much it costs), but anything more and you may be better off taking a chance.
