I had mine fitted In Chelmsford....... 4 dings in the roof (Not the bars!) down to the metal They sent a "dent-master" type chappie aroundf to "fix" them.....not perfect, but I suspect the dealer would bodge the roof re-spray more, had I let them loose on it....

Fitted mine myself before they were on general release, took me 30 to 40 minutes and I'm a gobplumber not a mechanic |

Is a "gobplumber" the same as a "toothdoc"? How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?

well, I was going 2 do it myself, but figured I'd only ding the roof, so for the sake of £20 fitting fee (how much they said it would be), they may as well do it before I collected it.....at least I got THEM 2 sort it...I'd have been gutted if I'd done the roof in myself! '57 FL2 GS

Hi all, Anyone had a standard towbar (hook permanently visible) fitted afterwards (i.e. not factory fitted). If so - how much were you charged for labour ? thanks. |

Hey Bjartin, I'm using Terminalen in Birkerød. A bit mixed so far - they messed up the order and so the Cold Climate Pack was not fitted. Then they said the car would be ready mid Nov - now it will be completed end Nov. Considering it arrived in Denmark on Nov 1st - it's going to take longer in Den to add a few extra's (tow bar & 18" wheels) - than it took to build the car in the UK ! I guess the real test of the Dealer is if something goes wrong with the car......... |

Just had an idea Maybe we should start a record of labour / fitting costs per dealer - eg cost to fit a tow bar, roof rails, service etc. As such, we can compare prices and also use the info to "demand" more competitive prices from our local dealer (if we can demonstrate that another dealer is providing the same for less cost). I don't know how to setup a table to record the ino - but we need : 1) dealer name & location 2) job 3) cost. |

An idea to follow out. I have examples from Denmark ( for you jimmi ) : 1) Bendtsen Biler, Herning 2) Delivery of Roof Rails 3) 343,48 Pound Sterling = 3.675 dkk 1) Terminalen, Aarhus 2) Fitting Raist Roof Rails (1,5 hour) 3) 151,13 Pound Sterling = 1.617 dkk 1) Bendtsen Biler, Herning 2) Delivery of Cross Bars 3) 221,51 Pound Sterling = 2.370 dkk 1) Bendtsen Biler, Herning 2) Delivery of 17inch, 5-split Spoke Alloys 3) 1.171,68 Pound S. = 12.536 dkk Something to begin with. best regards bjartin |
