Anyone installed aftermarket sound?...

when ordering my LR2, I could not justify the technology pack (I don't need navigation), and now I wonder if anyone replaced their base sound system with an afternarket head unit.

For about $2000 I could get NAV/DVD/CD/Bluetooth unit.
I'd like to know if any one done it, and how you did the install.

I wonder if park assist would still work?

Thanks for your help.

I have been looking at the Kenwood DNX7200 which will give me the exactly the things you have been looking for. I was told by a local car audio specialist that behind the fascia there is a standard Double DIN slot that will take the unit, but they didn't know of any manufacturer that produce a make up fascia piece to finish off the installation.
I hadn't though about the park assist interface.

Let me know if you find anything.

It probably would, but would the dealer like the aftermarket system? Then any ignition/starting/engine/transmission control problem will be blamed on the aftermarket sound/NAV...
