LED sidelamp bulbs

2010 HSE auto.
I was considering fitting LED bulbs to my sidelights as i don't have DRL,s.
Read everything on search, seems could be problems but most entries are old.
Anybody got up to date info if this is possible.
Tried Halfords but all their packaging says only use off road.
Am i stuck with normal bulbs?
Thanks Jim A

My car is a 2011 model and I use Ring Premium Led Bulbs RW501CBLED for my sidelights. Ive had them in for ages with no problems at all.

Thanks Rommel, looks like that is what i will have to do.
Thinking about this be cause i don,t want any eedjit bumping me and saying "never saw you as you didn't have any lights on"
And don't start me on DRL's on front only and no rear lights.
Have actually asked people if they knew about no rear lights and amazing the number who admitted to that.
Getting older and more crabbit.
cheers Jim A

Thank you for the info.

I do, although obviously unlike DRL's my rear lights will also be on. They are very good, way better than the standard bulbs that you can barely see at all.

I put some canbus compatible LED lamps in the sidelights. If they don’t illuminate turn them around in the holders, LED’s are +ve/-ve sensitive.
