Which Reliability Survey - NOT GOOD!

The 'Which Reliability Survey' results have been published and the results are in all the papers and on the telly, basically Landrovers (in particular FL2) and jags are very unreliable coming near the bottom of the list Big Cry

Nice one 'Which', Give the UK car industry a kick in the balls whilst times are hard why dont you???

Personally, my FL2 is highly reliable other than the knocking noise i had, loose drivers seat and the bodykit falling off....hmmmmm.... , biggest problem is the unreliability of the intelligence of the Land Rover Staff to deal with any problems!

Just got a email from my boss dad on this Confused

Like i said surveys are normally carried out on a car produced between x & y dates as there is no point in asking somebody for a long term review when they have had their car for 4 days.

So i believe the FL2 early cars of the production line, in a car that was techically changed completely from the old FL1, you would expect a few teething problems along the line with a few cars, mine been one of them.

Where does the source of there info for this survey come from? Which readers, RAC/The AA, or Dealers themselves Question Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I think a survey can be made to show whatever results you want it to.

Not surprised to see the top 10 loaded with Japs, but suspect the LR figures skewed by FL1 and FFRR electronics. 58 HSE, auto, lago grey, tints. Mine and my dogs Storm and Sky

how can this survey be realistic if the number of cars sampled are not the same? They might have been fortunate to sample the 3 (and only 3!!!) X3 drivers out there who like their cars!!

Anyway Honda CRV's are driven by grandads who rarely go over 30mph, tow nothing and wont even take it on a blade on grass so probably explains why they scored better!

As already asked - who has been asked to take part in the survey?

It seem to me that the figures show fl2 owners are the most likely of all 4x4 owners to fill in the survey form...nerds Very Happy At work

I guess the survey is fair, Japs have nailed reliability, we (or rather Landrover) sadly haven't a clue! Had an RX8 for 2 years, no issues, first issue with my FL2 was after 2 months & took 3 visits over 2 weeks to diagnose never mind fix...nuff said! Still love the car but IMHO the survey represents the reality. Big Cry
