power steering leak

Hi guys come out this morning to find i have a leak. Thought it was engine oil but it's power steering fluid. Looking behind the front drivers side wheel it's a rusty pipe coming down vertically and held on by a bracket . Any ideas what that power steering pipe would be called?

Try searching these pages for the part you want - it may be VIN dependent too

I dont know when you last had the steering system serviced. But I would replace the ATF reservoir at the same time and flush ATF through from the new reservoir into the old one - you need to plug off a few connections temporarily.

The ATF reservoir contains a filter which cannot be removed /cleaned - its not expensive on ebay.

Also removing the RH headlight gives a lot more room to do this task. Jules

Had the same last year and it was this one I had to replace https://www.lrparts.net/lr029185-freelande...rover.html
The scuttle drain drips down on it and over the years it corrodes it ! Every time I learn something new, something old gets pushed out of my brain?
