Would the car need programmed an could I do that with my Autel 200

I did exactly this on my 2010 TD4. Bought the kit from PF Jones and it was a simple job of removing the 7 pin kit and replacing it with the 13 pin kit. No recoding needed. Hope yours is as simple to do as mine was.

Countax, thank you for the info. Just a possibility at present.
Will check Taggarts land Rover for a price.
Thank you again Jim A

FYI, PF jones are tow bar specialists, not a Land Rover dealership.

Did you have to “wire” it in was it plug to fit the Landrover system?
I was led to believe that Landrovers are fitted with a dedicated socket within the car. Jim A

why not by an adapter off e bay, thats what i have done because we have 7 and 13 pin trailers,so you can swap between the two.

Sid, thanks for the suggestion. Reason I was asking is that my daughter now has a caravan with 13 pin.
Just thinking that if I wanted to use it I would need 13 pin.
Thanks to all. Jim A
