Oil leak below EGR/shield over exhaust manifold

I have a very slight oil leak below the EGR with oil visible on the heat shield over the exhaust manifold. This causes some fumes when the oil drops onto the exhaust. I’m struggling to
pin point where the leak is from and have replaced the PCV assembly but this didn’t solve the problem. I’m hoping it’s not the cam cover having re-sealed that when replacing some bent valves 5 years ago (long story). Has anyone had a similar oil leak and successfully found the source? Is it possible that it could be the EGR (I do have a lot of oil in the breather hoses).

Try this to eliminate if the oil is coming from the top air pipe joint/PCV joint or lower down

As a telltale push a piece of cardboard under the air pipe joins at the top of the engine cover
