United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Stornoway Grey
TOWBAR FOR SALE

Well since I am no longer an FL2 owner this is surplus to requirement.

Decided to have it removed before the car departed, thought it might save someone a few bob.

It is a factory fit, fixed, swan neck towbar with twin electrics (12N+12S) and has the genuine LR electrics plug-in kit.

It's 2 1/2 years old (not that they wear out!).

Looking for £100. Thumbs Up Stornoway Grey GS ... What a fine motor Smile ... but not any more ... Big Cry ... psst look at my gallery!

There is some surface rust on the brackets that support the electrics, guess that's because of the various times I used it's wading depth Laughing There is a distinct lack of paint on the underside of the swan neck (something to do with off roading exploits me thinks).

All in all though its in good nick, and with the factory electrics I think £100 is a good price.

BTW I had the tow bar removed by a local towbar specialist (who I've used many times), and initially the reversing sensors and fog lights didn't work. Luckily they have invested in a decent diagnostics kit and were able to reset the car - nice bit of kit but bloody expensive, I'm sure he said over 34k Shocked Stornoway Grey GS ... I am asking as I need to take my towbar off and was thinking going for a detachable on the new car, but it git me thinking to swap to a swan instead

I'll ponder a little more......

How much was the charge for removing it as I need to do this just after the next bank hols??? Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Hi Avtur, sorry to see you've lost your FL2. I note on some of your pictures, that you had roof rails, cross bars, and a rear spoiler. Did you remove all these as well as the towbar before selling, and if so, are they for sale?
Please pm me.
Thanks
