New to me

I had a Td5 Defender 110 16 years ago and after that experience swore blind I would not go near Landrover again as a brand. However I have just bought myself a Fl2 and so far so good. Love it, HSE model with low ish miles for its age and well maintained. Bought through Wrye Forest Motors (of Bell Engineering ). They really looked after me and would recommend them.

The FL2 is more Ford than Landrover in many ways - the suspension, engine, gearbox and driveline are common to may vehicles which partly explains its reliability compared to current JLR vehicles.

Having said that, I had a TD5 Disco 2 and had no major issues with it over 60K miles. Probably the best vehicle Ive ever had in terms of usefulness when the kids were young and we had boats and caravans. Sure - things wore out- but no biggy - I just didnt go anywhere near main dealers. Jules
