Hummm! Yes, a throttle body can be cleaned. My forum reading recollections, a new throttle body has to be "coded" to the ECU to function efficently. @p_gill might have some thoughts. |

That clip is dangerous but a vice grip or a plumbers adjustable pliers can do the job. The clip should be facing the top. |

I gave up on the Land Rover spring loaded clamp and I switched to the Volvo clamp (a Jubilee style if that is meaningful to you). 988034 If the 3.2 can't control the idle air then it is likely due to an intake leak or a throttle that needs to be cleaned. If the purge valve is stuck open then it will create the type of problem that you are having.
