8mm sockets

Might seem obvious to some but where is the boost hose. Only asking as just fitted manifold after doing glowplugs but am minus two 8mm sockets. Both disappeared off into the ether. Not in the underbody tray, am damned if I can find. When taking out the manifold I brought it out complete with throttle body as shown in photo. The hose that fits onto the connection indicated by the arrow was left hanging free, obviously orifice open to anything falling into it. Can I get this hose off to check thet no 8mm sockets are living in there. If there are are they in a harmless position?

If you are taking about the the hose connected to the throttle body, that can be removed from underneath after removing the under tray.
I very much doubt there is enough boost to lift a metal socket from the bottom of the intercooler hose, but why take the chance. Easy job to pull it apart and check. Thumbs Up Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
Now retired so it doesn't matter anymore.
Freelander now gone.

Will do. My thoughts were also that it is quite a hefty bit to get blown about. ESpecially as first one to go missing included a short extension piece as well!

We have all been there.
With me it's always a 10mm socket. I have to take the under tray off occasionall to retrieve the lost ones when I run out of spares Whistle Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
