Inlet manifold gaskets

Hopefulkly a quickie. Seen somewhere I am sure that the thin oval gaskets, top of manifold, should only go in one way round. Supposedly have a smooth edge and an edge with a groove. The ones I have just fitted have a gropve on both edges!

They are same either side(symmetrical) so can be fitted either way.
