Yes, after years of waiting/saving we finally get our HSE on Thursday. The problem is on Saturday were going to France. I've seen the procedure for adjusting Xenon's but after a while searrching I can't find what to do about the normal bulbs, I'm told there's a template you can download from the landrover website but can't find that and I certainly don't want to stick on the plastic 'H*lf*rds' jobs as the last time it ruined the poly lenses on my Passat. Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks.

You must position that piece of material in that way that the light trace on a wall to be horizontal, without that rise to the left.

George - my mate got a fl1 petrol about 7 yers ago and had nothing but trouble....so sold it and got a 'C' class Merc and from then on....... had nothing but trouble !!!!

interesting that, i thought that LHD cars didn't deflect the beam sideways only down so didn't need conversion when driving on the correct side of the road

The LHD beam is the opososite to ours, ie the light kicks up to the right. US cars generally have a flat beam.

Good to see someone not doing the usual thing and putting on those rediculous beam deflectors when they get to the port, A piece of black nasty tape does the job just aswell. I am always laughing inwardly at the port when you see people putting on the deflectors as they are mostly in the wrong place. A couple of weeks ago I saw someone put them on their front foglights  Freelander 2.2e HSE , Privacy, Fully debadged, 19" Chrome SHadow alloys

Petrol FL1 was the ultimate off-road car - as in it was always off the road being fixed

There's a reason the general advice was "never buy a petrol Freelander"...
