Cost of new rear bumper + light cluster??

Ok, so my girlfriend has backed my FL2 into a pillar which has basically smashed one back light cluster (outer lens only, inner lens + bulbs/reflectors are all fine) & squashed the bumper! Censored Does anybody have a ball park idea of the cost of a new rear light cluster + new rear bumper fitted (I don't think it will fill/polish)? Luckily the rest of the body work was untouched! Bow down

Thanks.

Unlucky Shocked

Can't give advice on cost so not that helpful, but as a fair bet assume that it will probably cost a lot more than your insurance excess. Rolling Eyes

Lamp unit comes as one piece - i.e. cracked lens = new unit. Plus you need to make sure whoever orders it gets the right one as LR always seem to be changing the grey/dark grey/ black plastic inside it.

If going down the DIY route, take a look underneath to see if the bumper armature has bent/buckled - now they do look pricey, especially if the crash cans have taken a pounding!

Things are looking up! Thumbs Up The rear light cluster is available for just over £40 ...

...and on closer inspection, the bumper is abit bruised, but no cracks so should fill/sand OK, looks like the bumper only deformed just enough for the pillar to crack the lens, but the lens is still intact. Any ideas on where I can get instructions for replacing the rear cluster?

just go inside the boot remove some trim and unbolt the light, probably says in tha manual how to change a bulb so that takes you half way there. Apparently its very simple---- even Dave could do it Whistle At work

there are two clusters, one with grey interior and the new type black interior, buy carefully or you may end up needing another to match things up Neutral At work

Might be worth leaving the squashed bumper. If it needs replacing it might be worth trying to heat gently and popping the dent back out? There are a few "cheap" ones on ebay though Freelander 2.2e HSE , Privacy, Fully debadged, 19" Chrome SHadow alloys
