Well that was quick the back plates arrived today, likes your came in bags with JLR stickers and each has a "Landrover" logo stamp on them.

There was also an extra part with a white beard

The ones on the Ork are not to bad to be honest.

I cut the mudshields to allow them to bend a little and fit around the hub.

I was going to tack weld the cuts back up but they were perfectly firm without. I replaced the rusted screws (which were a PITA to remove) with M6 bolts and washers.

Hi Jules
Yes best way to go I think, we have done that a few times on the R40 -Rover 75 back plate save disturbing the bearing etc.

I also changed the rusted fixings to bolts when i did the front back plate

Did the back plate go over the hub quite easy.

Yes - very easy - if you rotate it once one bit is behind the hub and the other is in front you can then find a way to get it all behind the hub. Jules
