On the fuel pipe LR001322, the pipe from the filter to the pump. Is there a replaceable O ring in the connector, or do I have to buy the complete pipe.

The o-rings are typically inside the coupling.

The o rings can be removed with a dental pick. However they don't appear to be a standard size. I have tried it and although the replacement o rings I purchased appeared to be the same size, they would not go into the fitting. Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !

Thanks for the reply. Looks like I will be forced kicking and screaming into buying one if JLR have them in stock soon |

Is it not worth picking up one of the connectors I linked above, checking if it fits on the filter, then seeing if you can swap out the connector in the existing hose? Current driveway contents:

Could be possible but I need to have a proper look at the existing connector. You have given me a plan to buy both the new pipe and the connector then have a fiddle with the old pipe and the new connector. If it doesn't work I just refit the new pipe on, seems good to me. Just need to source a new pipe and think of something else to buy off amazon to bring the cost over £20 for free postage. |

You can get connectors that fit, just make sure you measure correctly. I used some to make up a temporary pipe with a priming bulb on. Works perfect.

You'r right the connectors are available on e bay but I can't go ahead until the new pipe is in stock, it's on backorder at Landrover. Good job it's not crucial.

Timing belt wasn't so much the mileage, as the age.

The wiring is for a temporary fuel pump I fitted just to rule out a fuel delivery issue. Wiring has an in-line fuse and just clipped to battery terminals. Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !

I completely forgot about this thread, so today did the fuel filter change using the hand pump, i was going to make a small temporary to see if it would pull the fuel through to the fuel filter quicker, i have the other FL2 to do so my try then instead. ![]() |
