Had that on both Peugeot 504 & Seat Ibiza, both turned out the radiator thermostat was not working.

Cam sensor maybe get it checked out, don't if you can do same test you can on a Rover 75, if it's not stating after the engine is hot remove the cam sensor, stick it in the freezer for 5 mins, put it back on the car does the car start if so then the cam sensor is suspect.
