Nearly £18k for a 10 year old Freelander 2, to me that's crazy money.
I've seen a 3 year old Tesla model 3 for less than that. Ok a M3 and Freelander 2 are very different vehicles, but the M3 would be one 10th of the running costs, and can be driven into many cities without paying a high emissions charge. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

It doesn't seem that much over it's Autotrader official valuation, see screenshot.

Although my own 77kmiles Metro comes in at £10540 Private Sale and £8758 Part Exchange.

The Metro is the best of the bunch, and worth having if you intend to keep.

(PS I do wonder however if my transferable LR Extended Warranty would be worth anything extra if I ever decide to change, or is its only value to me as it gives 'peace of mind'.) FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 77k+ miles) (MY2015)
Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History
(Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?)

I cannot see evidence of the LR 10 Year Service, which costs around £1k and includes transmission oil change. Needed as this would not have been touched in other services.

Nodge, I fail to see a Tesla being driven successfully up a slippery track amongst the trees?? FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

There are very few owners driving a Freelander 2 off road, dispite them being pretty good at it.
But who is going to spend nearly £18k on a top spec Freelander, only to trash its exterior driving it through trees and such. I didn't like taking my 58 plate SE off road, as I don't like paint damage, and mine is only worth a couple of grand.

I did say that a Tesla M3 isn't a comparison to the Freelander. I used it as an example of how a much newer a vehicle can be bought for the sort of same money, arguably a vehicle a about a quarter of a century more advanced too. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.
