Towing in "sport mode"

Anyone see any advantage or disadvantage in towing a caravan/trailer in "sport mode"

It does seem like the delayed shift pattern might be an advantage when going uphill.

I-6 petrol engine is what I have.

Comments are appreciated.

I always tow in manual override. Useful say when with the cruise control on one goes downhill, and can increase the revs to ensure the speed doesn't creep up. Freelander 2.2e HSE , Privacy, Fully debadged, 19" Chrome SHadow alloys

Sport mode in a Freelander surely an oxymoron, spirited definatly but sport? still pining for my 3dr, no removeable hardtop, no drop glass tailgate, no roof rack, no pockets everywhere to stow all that man kit
