FL2 TD4 E S random power loss

My 2010 FL2 has started losing power randomly while driving. The engine idle's fine just drops and recovers when I change gear.
Can anyone point to some possible root causes ?

thanks in advance
Lee

How much fuel in the tank? If over four gallons, check the internal fuel tank pump is lifting fuel over the bump in the tank. If it appears to work, Change the fuel filter. then see what happens. Sometimes the under body wiring loom frays over the centre of the prop shaft or exhaust. Until you have done the basic checks, you will spend money unnecessarily. Next possibility is the high pressure pump, or camshaft end that drives the pump, see what I mean about cost.

Put more fuel in the tank, preferably ½ a tank and see if it still does it.

Question, does this only happen when changing gear? Does it feel like the turbo is loosing boost momentarily? Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

Put more fuel in the tank. A gallon will give you about 30 miles range. If the range gets too low the car will go into limp mode and will shut down before the tank is empty and the system sucks air. You don’t want to be trying to prime the fuel system at the side of the road.
