United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 Dynamic Auto Santorini Black
Ecu module

Hi there
Some help would be greatly appreciated. I have a freelander 2 2014 sd4 2.2 which when new had front and rear parking sensors. Before I bought the car it had been involved in an accident and sustained front end damage. The bumper was replaced without reinstalling the front sensors apparently the wiring harness was disconnected. But the car now has a pdc fault I.e the rear sensors don't work because the car is looking for 8 sensors (front and rear). My auto electrician says the pdc module needs changing to a rear sensor only module. The module that has been removed is BJ32 15K866 CJ. Is there a rear sensor ONLY MODULE that I can replace the BJ32 15K866 CJ, If so could someone tell me the part number etc and whether it needs coding to the car VIN or whether it can just be fitted and plugged in.

Thanks

Reinstating the front sensors would be more beneficial, and to be honest should have been done at the time of the repair, although obviously that's outside of your control.
I'm assuming it wasn't repaired by a collision repair specialists as an insurance job, as they have to return the vehicle to its pre-collision condition and specification. Simply removing the sensors isn't doing that, so it suggests it was a bodged repair by the owner, or by someone the employed to do a bodged repair.

In answer to the question, yes it is technically possible to change the PDC module, but you'll also need the CCFs changed to a rear sensor only PDC, or it'll likely still show a fault after a rear only module is installed. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The replacement for the SE.
