Slugs are, and have been always there, they are just very good at hiding. We are quite keen gardeners and restart our war on slugs and snails each Spring.

High levels of rainfall, it'll keep the ground moist longer, Slug heaven. But thay are good food for Hedgehogs and some birds, you could get some chickens, Nematodes seem to work on the keel slugs (small dark) but they have to be applied early spring. DAVE. |

One can reduce snail numbers with garlic, butter, parsley & shallots! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Slugs don’t seem to have the same appeal with garlic.😄. Chicken sounds good but a tie and responsibility as pets are. It just seemed to be more than normal amount of slugs. I guess it’s like everything once you notice something you’re looking for it all the time. Think that the birds on the estate are well fed in peoples gardens and don’t need to look for slugs to eat. |

Slugs aplenty but also TICKS from the Deer, Foxes and Badgers that pass through our garden. The epitome of low life MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.
