Harvest

Pulled and cooked our first beetroot from the garden today, and it tasted lovely. Only a small garden so not many more to come, but we will enjoy while it lasts.

We have rhubarb going crazy in the garden which is no bad thing as I love a crumble. What makes it even better is that Alana, my partner does not like it so all the more for me. Laughing

We used to grown potatoes, green beans, tomarto's, onions and strawberries but given it a rest this year as we knew we wouldn't be able to give it the care it would need. Smile https://www.youtube.com/@scottandalana4x4

Yes rhubarb and custard, our little rhubarb has grown a lot this year. Stuff from the garden always seems to taste so much better.

Rhubarb is a no brainer to grow your own, given the price of
it in the greengrocers,
Beetroot I absolutely love, my first job at 13 years was working
for a small greengrocers and ever Saturday morning it was my
job to collect the freshly cook Beetroot form the kitchen,
I can still remember that smell. Very Happy DAVE.

I remember as a kid the greengrocer used to cook beetroot in the old copper washer like my mum used stood outside in the yard. Could you imagine that today. Cannabis should be grown in the loft , 🤣

We did once grow a garden full of mushrooms. The only problem was, there wasn't mush-room for anything else...

I'll see myself out. Laughing https://www.youtube.com/@scottandalana4x4
