Rattle

I have a freelander 2 2012 manual and has a rattle sounds like it’s under the gear change lever or the centre cubby box, any ideas where this could be coming from?

No it is only intermittent and moving nothing whilst still.

As Chips said, the area you describe contains the Heating/Cooling Unit.

You say the car is stationary; is the ignition on, or the engine running, is it before or after use of car?

Are you sure that it is not in the engine compartment, - fan belts, pulleys - (and various actuators that seem to have a life of their own) FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 77k+ miles) (MY2015)
Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History
(Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?)
