Sounds like air in the high pressure lines. I think that if the car can't see enough fuel pressure it won't fire the injectors. Can be difficult to purge, as many have found out when they change their fuel filter without bleeding it before reconnecting it.

After replacing the injectors, it can take several cranking cycles to purge out all the air in the rail. Once the air is purged through, the fuel pressure will build enough for the ECM to initiate injection. Replacement injectors need coding, or they'll not fuel correctly. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate.
