Faulty wiring to Air tempreture sensor from intercooler

Hello, I have fault P007a-17, which suggests a faulty air intake sensor (which on 2013 sd4 is located on the intercooler at the front of the engine).

I have replaced the sensor, but this has not fixed the fault.

I have tested the sensor with a multimeter (see photo) and can not get any voltage reading from the sensor plug wiring that goes to the sensor. This leads me to think that the wiring is at fault.

I have attempted to trace it back and it seems to go into the engine fuse box (but I can't be fully sure).

I wondered if anyone could answer some or all of the following for me:

1. Do sensors such as these have fuses?
2. Would anyone know where this wiring actually goes back to?
3. If the wiring goes back to the fuse box in the engine bay, does the fuse box come apart as all the wiring seems to mainly go to the rear of the fuse board and so is not accessible.

Any hint or tips for working out how to check or replace this wiring would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks
Mark
