Mud flaps don't make much difference to dirt, but will reduce rain water from washing off winter salt, which is a benefit if you don't wash it off yourself in spring. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

I've just fitted pattern part copies of the OEM ones. Really pleased, they keep the big clumps of mud off the sides, but as above don't make much difference to the lighter spray/road grime.

I had the copies originally, they broke within about 2 years. Then bought the originals, actually 2 sets just in case and also partly due to freight cost to Australia. They have lasted.

^^This is a very good point, something for me to consider. I do try to wash her weekly during winter but sometimes it's double digit subzero. |

Wouldn't be without mudflaps. I think they make a big difference. [/url] Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

I had the manufacturers mudflaps put on when I bought the car new and I'm happy to advise you regarding my experience. My advice is that they help to keep the car a bit cleaner during wet and muddy conditions.

Sugar beet must be finished now so you’ll be ok for another 6 to 8 months. 👍 |

I always thought that mudflaps were worth fitting as they help stop grit and stones from flying upwards against the paintwork of my car and others.
