They also trick you to turn your back and put oil in the water. |

That only works if the cap to the expansion tank comes off easily. Never did on my FL2! |

No, you missed the actual issue. Any sensible person would not a have bought, with two barge poles end to end, a BMW... or Toyota for that matter! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Interesting that you say that . Generally here, Toyota and BMW have quite a good reputation for build quality and reliability. Not the best but certainly better than VAG (with Skoda being the best of that group) and definitely better than JLR. I had a BMW 330D estate for 6 years until I retired and mechanically it was very sound and the engine was superb. I only got rid of it as the 3L diesel wasn't really suitable for the short journeys I do most of the time now. Jules |

I have to be mindful on this site as I was accused of being racist about the French, when all I was saying is they make cars. |

When I worked at a Citroën main dealer, the engines were fine, actually all the mechanical parts were pretty good, but the bodies were far from good. This was over 25 years ago now and things look to have improved a lot. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Gone. 2006 Tonga Green i6 HSE. Gone. Audi A5 convertible, my daily driver. 1972 Hillman Avenger GT, the project. |

I thought that the FL2 Diesel engine was developed from a French PSA engine.

2013 FL2 XS.
