TPMS

My 2014 GS does not have TPMS and I am aware that retrofitting is all but impossible due to cost so I'm looking for an aftermarket system. As an added twist I want a system that can monitor my single axle caravan tyres as well. Does any member have or have experience of such a system ? TIA LR2 SD4 GS

I've only the factory fitted system but if you Google 6 sensor TPMS or 6 wheel TPMS you get lots of results.

Normally I look at other relevant forums, to find what the real life users say about products.

For example this on the Practical Caravan site.

As all cars have TPMS these days, surely it won't be long before all new cars have the ability to monitor (remote) trailer/caravan tyre pressures. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

Not to forget that you will be running different pressure on the caravan, even it you are running 8 "Freelander" wheels.

Some people down under have set up tug & trailer with the same wheels so spare wheels can be used anywhere.

So unless the system can independently lock in individual wheel pressures, better off getting one setup for the car & a second setup for the caravan. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Which years models had TPMS fitted as standard or was it just an option at some point ?

TPMS became a legal requirement for new vehicles on Nov 1st, 2014 which must have been pretty much the end of FL2 production.

My 2014 FL2 (SE Tech version) has it, but it must have been optional when that was new.
