A person in our office is selling his 2014 Land Rover Freelander 2 and he is asking for £12,000 with 80k miles. Is it a fair price?

We paid a premium for our new car, but there was only one new one left in Australia in white with light interior, in western NSW, so a 269km one way trip. Went there once to look at it & again to pick it up a few months later for our preferred registration date due to typical travelling. So it went into storage.

Decided we didn't want the replacement. Still glad to this day we bought the Freelander.

The only other one was 5km away, the colour was bearable, but it had a black interior. Bum burning stuff in summer in Australia. It also had a lot of extras & they would match the price of the white one in Orange in NSW without all the extras. We wanted the white one so bought it.

It just boils down to how urgent one wants to buy or sell. Couldn't be happier with our one, even without the pile of extras. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

I've just traded in my 2014, 64 plate Metropolis, with 121,000 miles on the clock in great condition for it's miles and got £7k exactly for it.

I take it that you are in the USA, so LR2?

Prices seem to be around $10k - $12k on this selling site
