Second hand car prices are now falling fast, dealers are cutting prices because interest rates rose, slowing down demand, also new car supplies are increasing again. All this means a vehicle that sold for 20k 18 months ago, is likely to sell nearer 15k today. I'd personally avoid anything Mini, as they're far from reliable. My sister has a new one (on PCP) every 3 years, but wouldn't have own one herself, as they're in for warranty work quite a lot. She also wouldn't own one out of warranty due to the amount of warranty work she has to have done. She only has a Mini because she likes them, and works right next to the dealer, so it's of no real inconvenience when it's in for work. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. Actually the Cooper is very good to drive. The chassis is set up just right for the power, which is why my sister is on her 4th. But she never owns them, and wouldn't. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

I would think pcp is popular as nobody has money on the hip nowadays. |

If it's on PCP, the dealer is more eager to keep the PCP holder happy, especially a serial PCP holder. PCP is basically a lease, so the PCP holder doesn't own the vehicle, the PCP provider does. Owning a Mini should be OK, but I'd only have one under warranty. There are many engine, gearbox and suspension failures before 100k, so it wouldn't make a good put of warranty vehicle. Lease or pcp , call it what ever it’s still debt. When I was growing up it was only gamble what you can afford to loose and never a borrower nor a lender be. |
