Your friends are very lucky I have heard of another scenario as well, my mate has a 2004 VW Type 4 diesel van. It was originally registered in NI but he reregistered it here, when he puts its details in it says compliant.

My neighbour has a 2006 Merc diesel when he inputs it it comes up as compliant he works for BA at Heathrow uses it every day but also takes a screen shot of the site just waiting for the day they catch up on it ?? its all bonkers just hope Khan gets the bullet and someone with a bit of sense takes over? 2013 FL2 XS.

But ULEZ is not just London. I understand there are ULEZ in Manchester, Glasgow ........

Bristol, Bath both have LEZ’s for some vehicles. Nicely, the M32 dumps you into the Bristol LEZ as does the signposted route to Lulsgate (Bristol) airport. |

Currently the ULEZ in Greater Manchester is "under review" so no charging at present. But it is coming, cameras are in and waiting.

If we have to have Clean Air Zones why can't they all have the same, easily understood, regulations.

I’m with Ian on this. If it’s an LEZ it should have the same regulations, the same payment system, the same penalty system and the same ability to preregister your vehicle so that you pay the charge for entering the LEZ rather than the fine for failing to pay the charge that you may not have realised you were due to pay.
