I have always used a independent mechanic, previous cars as well. But my mechanic does always use LR parts, they are not that expensive.

I use Penrite when I DIY. Available at Supercheap.

What are you comparing them too ? I find JLR parts quite expensive and usually look for a Ford /Volvo/OEM equivalent eg LR shock absorbers £245 each Bilstein OEM ones £76 each Jules |

My shocks are still ok after >4000km on these smooth roads.
