Won't rev over 1000

Hi
Drove car home from work yesterday all fine. This morning started first time with no problems but it won't rev over 1000. Did'nt notice any lights on dash. Could it be the maf ? Got RAC home start so my call them out when i get back home to see if there are any fault codes

Could be lots of things, but the throttle body stuck almost closed would be my first check to make, as it's used at engine shutdown when it may have failed. A MAF won't fail after shutdown, unless you've had rodents chewing wires, which happens around me on occasion. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

Won’t rev over 1000rpm update

Got a new throttle body from Eurocarparts and noticed that on the new one the valve was open. When I disconnected the turbo hose I could feel that the valve was closed. Removed old one and valve was almost shut. New one fitted and engine runs as it should. Opened up the old one and found some of the gear teeth were damaged and holding valve shut

Glad it was an easy fix. You'll need to have an air path calibration carried out, or the new TB won't last long. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.
