Britpart or Landrover fuel filter?

Having looked at prices I can get a service kit for my 2014 XS for £40 which includes all the filters (inc fuel)
The LR kit with same items comes in at £88

Am I better off with OEM or is Britpart worth trying, seems very cheap and wondered if its a "get what you pay for"? 2014 Freelander 2 XS TD4

Go for a genuine fuel filter even if the rest are pattern parts the fuel filter has a thermostat in it that other cheaper ones don't, though I have heard Bosch fuel filters are ok and do not cause any problems.

I once worked as a delivery driver for a well known parts supplier and all the garages that I delivered to always orderd MANN filters though I have no idea if the fuel filters for the FL2 are as good as genuine ones

I recently got a genuine Fuel filter for £20 OFF FleaBay pays to look around. 2013 FL2 XS.

Britpart or Landrover fuel filter

Purflux is the manufacturer of LR fuel filters, I bought a fuel filter from euro car parts as an emergency, on closer inspection it was a purflux exactly the same as the one I took off which was a genuine LR product.
Maybe ask at the motor factors first considerable money saved.

That OEM service kit you list off ebay has gone up £20 in a year!

I've always used the genuine filters kit but last time bought this Bosch kit and millers oil which was a pretty decent price.
No issues with the Bosch fuel filter in the last 4000 miles.

Yes I also thought that Cooper's were OEM, I have used Cooper's before and had no problems but I purchased genuine last time round.

If you service vehicle yourself then personally i always go for genuine (they fit exactly and built for that vehicle plus warranty).
So for approx £80 for full filter set plus oil is not cheap enough but worth it.

GENUINE LAND ROVER FUEL FILTER

Have experienced problems with my Freelander 2 throughout the summer. Cured by removing the non-genuine fuel filter and fitting the genuine one.

Brit part or Landrover oil filter.

Hello Volrider, all I can say is be careful, I recently heard of an oil filter purchased from a motor part accessory shop “well known” unfortunately not revealing the name sold a branded oil filter which internally imploded, resulting in the RAC report as catastrophic.
So would you trust this predicament?
I know for a fact that my local landrover dealer once replaced a faulty fuel filter “leaking” from the manufactured joint where with a photograph booked the car into the workshops and replaced the filter free of charge having the purchase receipt. Going off an AA report.

It’s your call really but please be careful, money saving one way might cost you big time the other!
