The Thule company produces a range of roof bars, cycle racks, etc that fit a whole range of cars. Google for it and you'll fint it. |

I just use a set of Thule Roofbars with mine. They can take a bit of time to set up the first time but they are ok. I got mine from www.roofbox.co.uk, much cheaper than the local halfords! |

I'm not sure what the difference in noise would be but I have got the aerobars rather than the standard bars. They are also supposed to be better for the fuel economy.

We use a narrow roofbox so probably half the bar is exposed. I think most of the noise comes from the mounts to the car. We had an A4 avant with roof rails before and they had a small clamp rather than the big foot on the picture above. |
