England 2012 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Santorini Black
Service reminder

When the car (FL2 2012 SD4 GS) was serviced the garage missed resetting the service remider which is now showing -42 days. I could go back to the garage but it is a 20 mile round trip and as it is probably something simple I could do myself if i knew how to do it it is not worth the journey. Can any one tell me how to do it please.

J

If it's a pre-facelift it's easy, but there are 2 options of what to reset. It sounds like they reset the milage based counter, but not that date counter. I've just had this same issue on my i6, where the milage was due in 4,000 miles, but the date counter was showing-841 days.
I changed the oil and filters before I put it up for sale, but also reset both counters back to zero.

I'm unsure on the post facelift however. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.
2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Gone.
2006 Tonga Green i6 HSE. Gone.
Audi A5 convertible, my daily driver.
1972 Hillman Avenger GT, the project.

Interestingly, the 'Brazilian' method referred to in the thread linked to above also works on my 2016 Disco Sport (with the Ingenium engine).

This thread prompted me to reset the service reminder on my FL2 which was showing -3000 days or some such. This would appear when starting and then make way for total mileage. Now that it’s reset, it doesn’t appear at all and I gather it will stay hidden until about eleven months have passed. So how do I check the remaining time and distance?

Sorry no idea how to find that info.

Ive always ignored these things anyway and serviced (oil change & filters) my cars at 6k miles or annually. Jules
