I repaired mine by plastic welding (using an old soldering iron) and painted it.

Thanks Imran, decent job that with the spraying. Did you look into the alternatives to a weld? I must say I am tempted to take a handle off a whole tailgate, which breakers are flogging for Ā£60 not so far from me. |

Probably easier to replace the tail gate handle with a sound one than repair fractures with plastic welding. Though you can buy a variety of different shaped plastic weld staples which make a solid join.
