2009 LR2 wont take keyfob

Was driving the other day and the rover started to lose power pulled over and engine died. After trying to restart the rover wont even take the keyfob, its as if there is no power there. Usually it pulls it in and the dash powers on. I get nothing, the radio works 4 ways work but i cannot start it. Ive checked every fuse even put in a brand new battery. The fob battery reads 3v as well. Im at a loss here i cant find any information hoping someone here can help. Also the no buttons on the fob do anything now.

not sure how to delete this but i resolved the problem

kinda embarrasing but recently i took the fuse panel off under the glovebox to access the blower motor and when i put everything back together i must not have inserted the one connection all the way, jsut enough that everything worked. well it must've worked its way out and i just now noticed it after checking every fuse again and upon plugging it back in everything was fine again. Only took a tow truck, a new battery and 3 days to figure it out! Just a simple screw up on my part. price paid lesson learned i guess.

Glad you are sorted. I have made my fair share of cock ups over the years, don't be too hard on yourself. At least your info may help someone else down the line.
