I read somewhere that only 9% of driver's actually tow anything, so towing ability hasn't been particularly high on EV manufacturers list of capabilities.
However an EV should be better at towing than a conventional engine vehicle, as the torque is available regardless of motor speed, as long as the drive train is beefy enough to handle the torque.
Reduced range is a concern for many, and the lack of towing friendly charging points at present. These will be resolved in time, but at present towing vehicles have little choice but to un-hitch the trailer to charge the vehicle. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.
