I'm full of admiration for this amusing German couple who have taken the body of a Disco 4 to get the engine out.

I didnt realise it was a body off job to get the engine out on these . Jules

Lots of work on D4,s need the body off. Dealers and lots of independents have high lift carriers.

Nice if you happen to have a lift in your garage. Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
Now retired so it doesn't matter anymore.
Freelander now gone.

I've been watching LR time for a number of years now
and I'm always in awe of Christian's skills in the machine shop and on the Discovery,
an interesting video is his proof! that LR got it wrong on the specification of engine oil
for the Discovery (Lion) engine. DAVE.

^^^ What Dave47 says. I've been watching them for a couple of years. They never seem to be at all phased by anything these vehicles throw at them, when most other owners would just get rid and bemoan expensive , unreliable Discovery 3 and 4's.
